7-Eleven Gas Discount: 11¢ to Start, Then 5¢ or More
Free 7REWARDS membership gives 11¢/gal off for the first 90 days or 7 fills, then a published minimum of 5¢/gal or more off every fill after.

No store count is recorded here: the counts in circulation come from scraped location trackers with no named publisher or date, they disagree by thousands depending on whether the Speedway and Stripes banners acquired in 2021 are folded in, and 7-Eleven has been closing North American stores through 2026.

7REWARDS is free, and it gives new members 11¢ off a gallon for the first 90 days or 7 fills, whichever comes first. After that you get 5¢ or more off every fill.
There is also a separate text-in offer worth more than either: 25¢ a gallon off your next 3 fills, by texting SAVE to 711711.
How to sign up
Free. You have to be a registered 7REWARDS member — no membership fee is published anywhere on the fuel rewards page or the legal terms. Join in the 7-Eleven app or by texting the published short code.
Two ways to redeem at the pump:
- Open the 7-Eleven app and tap Fuel Now or Pay for Fuel.
- Press 7REWARDS on the fuel screen and enter your verified phone number.
Once you are connected, "Savings are automatically applied to your fuel purchase."
The Community Discount
7-Eleven publishes an additional discount of up to 5¢ a gallon for military, teachers, government employees, first responders, medical workers and students. It requires identity verification through ID.me. If you are in one of those groups this is worth the five minutes.
The two different gallon caps
This trips people up, so it is worth separating.
- The marketing page says discounts apply up to 30 gallons.
- The legal Fuel Loyalty terms set the outer bounds at savings limited to $2.50 per gallon, 40 gallons per transaction, and up to 2 transactions per calendar date.
The 40-gallon and $2.50 figures are the program's structural ceiling, not what an ordinary member gets. Plan around 30.
How to stack it
Partly published, partly not. 7-Eleven's terms name several savings types (Everyday Discount, Welcome Offer, Community Discount and Fuel Qualifying Products) but never say whether they combine at redemption. The only published ceiling is the $2.50 per gallon, 40-gallon, two-transactions-a-day cap. That leaves a lot of headroom without confirming anything.
Deal blogs claim much more. Doctor of Credit, in a post updated 8 August 2026, reports that text-in codes to 711711 stack with each other and with Speedway codes sent to 96001, producing totals well above $1 a gallon on promotional dates. That is not confirmed on any 7-Eleven page — one deal blog, unverified at source.
Nothing is published about cashback apps or credit-card fuel programs.
Watch-outs
The welcome offer ends on whichever comes first. Ninety days or seven fills. Seven fills can go quickly if you fill twice a week.
"5¢ or more" is a floor, not a rate. 7-Eleven publishes it as a minimum. What you actually get after the welcome period varies.
