Kwik Trip Gas Discount: How Kwik Rewards Fuel Discounts Work
Free Kwik Rewards membership earns cents-off-per-gallon fuel discounts by buying qualifying in-store items, plus an instant 3¢/gal on every fill when paying with the Kwik Rewards Plus credit or debit card.

Kwik Rewards is free, but it gives you no flat discount for showing up. You earn cents off a gallon by buying specific in-store items, and those offers run from 2¢ a gallon up to 20¢. Paying with the Kwik Rewards Plus credit or debit card adds an instant 3¢ a gallon on every fill.
The item offers are worth real money. Kwik Trip's published September 2026 sheet runs from "Buy 2 Prime Hydration Earn 20 Cents Per Gallon" and "Buy 1 We Are Nuts 10oz Earn 15 Cents Per Gallon" down to offers worth 2 cents. Earned discounts are good for one fill of up to 30 gallons.

How to stack it
Kwik Trip publishes an explicit internal permission:
"Fuel Discounts may be combined with various fuel discount promotions to discount fuel prices, however the dispenser will never decrease the price per gallon to zero and will always display at least $0.01 per gallon."
So earned item discounts combine with each other and with promotions. The Plus card's 3¢ is described as an instant pricing discount applied at payment, and it is separate from earned Fuel Discounts — the terms confirm Plus cardholders "are still eligible for Punch Cards, Fuel Discounts, and Visit Rewards."
The 30-gallon single-use ceiling still binds the whole combined redemption.
Nothing is published about cashback apps or outside credit cards.
Watch-outs
This is the harshest redemption rule we have found anywhere. Kwik Trip's terms, verbatim:
"Earned Fuel Discounts ... expire 30 days after the date the Fuel Discounts are earned. Fuel Discounts are valid for a single use only, up to 30 gallons. Any unused discounts are forfeited. If you pump less than 30 gallons in a single transaction when redeeming your discounts, you immediately forfeit the discounts on those remaining un-pumped gallons."
Read that last sentence again. If you have banked 40¢ a gallon and you pump 12 gallons, you get $4.80 and lose the rest. You cannot split it across two pumps and you cannot come back tomorrow. Redeem on your biggest fill, ideally with a second vehicle or a can, and get as close to 30 gallons as you can.
Other currencies run alongside: Fan Zone Points (1 point per whole dollar, expiring 12 months after earning, on the first day of the following month), Punch Card Rewards, and Visit Rewards (15 qualifying visits earns one). No rewards are earned at car wash terminals.
Plus card in-store discount depends on when you opened the account: 10% off certain in-store purchases for accounts opened before 09/01/2017, 5% for accounts opened on or after.
A charitable option exists. A cardholder can forgo the 3¢ a gallon and the in-store discount and direct the equivalent to a chosen organization as a quarterly donation.

Member price vs. the sign price
Same sign for everyone. You insert the Kwik Rewards card or use the alternate ID option before fueling and follow the prompts; the Plus card benefit is "applied instantly at checkout." Both discount the posted price.
